Roku and Facebook will launch a TV guide app and a TV app on Thursday.
Roku said in a blog post that the apps will help Roku owners find new shows and movies.
Roku’s app will also let users search for new shows, movies and television series from Amazon, YouTube and Google.
Facebook announced earlier this week that it will also start adding its TV guide to its website.
The app will be available for iOS, Android and Windows Phone devices, Roku said.
The TV guide will help users find shows and films from Netflix, Hulu, HBO Go and YouTube, Roku added.
Roku said it has more than 4.5 billion subscribers worldwide and that its app will help stream live TV and offer streaming video from TV shows, sports and other programming.
Rappling, a major provider of streaming video and movies, has launched a Roku app for its users, Roku’s blog post said.
It is available for Android and iOS devices.
The Roku app will give Roku users access to more than 500,000 TV guides from more than 60 providers, Roku noted.
The Roku app, Roku Plus and Roku TV will also have access to Roku TV’s library of more than 7 million channels, Roku CEO Michael Powell said in the blog post.
