Israel’s Channel 10 TV said Wednesday it would no longer operate its own video streaming platform.
Jordan cut off its YouTube channel in April, citing an “unprecedented public outcry” and a “high level of discontent.”
Jordan’s announcement prompted many Palestinians in the West Bank to boycott YouTube, which is owned by Google.
Jordan has not commented on the closure.
Jordan, which hosts Israel’s only independent television station, said it would cut off the channel’s access to all other sources of content, including YouTube, following a “public outcry.”
Jordan has a population of around 3.3 million and is a key Middle East ally.
